Nov 26 – St. Pio Daily – Desiring Eternity

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Ave Maria!November’s Theme: Holiness

“Oh! What a burden this mortal life is for the children of God; but the life that is beyond and that the mercy of the Lord will be pleased to grant us, oh God! How much more it is to be desired. We must certainly not distrust to one day possess it, even if we are so miserable; and if we are not so [miserable], this happens because God uses mercy on those who have placed their hope in Him.”

Nov 25 – St. Pio Daily – Banish All Uneasiness and Worry

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Ave Maria!November’s Theme: Holiness

“Therefore, let us draw away, step by step from earthly affections, and let us aspire to the happiness prepared for us. And if we desire to reach the blessed Sion soon, we must banish all uneasiness and worry, (because they are contrary to the free workings of the Holy Spirit), by bearing spiritual and temporal tribulations, wherever they come from.”

That Wondrous Miraculous Medal

Monday, November 24th, 2008
Ave Maria Meditations

In this time of somewhat gloomy thoughts, let us recall the words of St. Paul: Whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Phil.4:8)  And there are few things more lovely, more gracious, more just, more excellent and more pure to consider than the mysteries of Our Blessed Lady. Here is an encore meditation on the wondrous Miraculous Medal.

OLMM

Daily Miraculous Medal Prayer of St. Maximilian Kolbe:

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you,

and for all who do not have recourse to you, especially the enemies of the Church

and those recommended to you.

Nov 23 – Homily – Fr Bonaventure: Christ the King

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008
Click to Play

Homily #081123 ( 24min) Play – On the Solemnity of Christ the King, Fr. Bonaventure places this in the teaching of Pope Pius XI who proclaimed this feast. He contrasts this to all those who deny the Kingship of Christ throughout history, starting with Pontius Pilate. He then underscores the sure hope we have in our difficult times, that Christ will be the absolute victor over any of the many modern Pilates. Long live Christ the King!!
