Don’t think at all that the Lord is displeased with you and for this reason sends you such difficult trials. You would be greatly mistaken. The Lord wants to test your fidelity; He wants to inebriate you with the Cross of His Beloved Son; He wants to purify you; He wants to prepare you to receive the palm branch and a more glorious crown.”
