Ave Maria!– August’s Theme: The Missions “Dear brothers, know and take into account the fact that in the missions you will not only come across difficulties due to the surrounding environment, but God will permit, for His greater glory, that you experience discouragement, doubts, home sickness and other such things. However, don’t ever get discouraged, because we have a most loving Mother to whom we may always have recourse: during life, at the moment of death, and for all eternity.” (cf. SK #744) |

Ave Maria! Sorry, no homily, we lost audio. The homily today was on the Seven Joys of Our Lady which we celebrate as a feast today with special permission since it was suppressed after Vatican II. The Seven Joys is a version of the Rosary with seven decades commemorating, the Annunciation, the Visitation, The Nativity, the Adoration of the Magi, the Finding of Our Lord in the Temple, the Assumption and the Coronation. |
Ave Maria!– August’s Theme: The Missions “If the Immaculate wants to bring into existence other Cities of the Immaculate, then no difficulty, and much less our inability, will be able to prevent it. But if She does not want it, then we should not want it either.” (cf. SK #694) |
Ave Maria! Sorry, no homily today, technical difficulties. It was on the dedication of Our Chapel which occurred seven years ago today. Deo Gratias. |

Ave Maria!– August’s Theme: The Missions “Be calm, love one another, bearing with one another’s defects, so that your interior serenity may draw the souls of the pagans to the Immaculate. In fact, with the help of the Immaculate, not only can we do all things, but we can also endure all things.” (cf. SK #678) |

Ave Maria!– August’s Theme: The Missions “The Immaculate must be, as soon as possible, the Queen of all men. Whoever resists Her and will not submit to Her dominion, will be lost. Whoever recognizes Her as Queen and departs, as Her knight, to conquer the world for Her, will live, grow and flourish ever more abundantly. This applies to every soul, every association and every organization: religious institutes, nations, etc.” (cf. SK #677) |
Homily #080823s ( Fr. Angelo preaches for the Mass at our annual Queenship of Mary celebration which we do on the Saturday nearest the Queenship Feastday of Aug 22nd. It is a celebration of the establishment of the Franciscans in Griswold and has been the celebration of each step of the completion of our facilities here, including the Lourdes Grotto 1994, the Friary 2000, the Dedication of the Chapel 2001 and the dedication of St. Joseph’s Chapel 2003. Listen as Father explains the need for thanksgiving and for making Our Lady the Queen of our nation, culture and personal lives as the best expression of our Catholic Faith, for it is Our Lord who chose her as His Queen-Mother, and we should imitate Him. |
