Ave Maria!– August’s Theme: The Missions “Why have our missionary brothers gone to the missions? Why have they sacrificed not only family, but also their native country, the air, the sound of their native language, and the customs of their homeland, to the Immaculate? Why have they exposed themselves to the danger of contracting the most diverse diseases and of quickening their own death? What is their goal?…In order to understand their heroic mission, it is enough to look at all those souls who still know absolutely nothing of the Immaculate.” (cf. SK #1179)
