Leave it to Father Angelo to remind of us of the truth. His homily warns us not to be deceived by false”profits”. When “good is evil and evil is good” we need to recognize the truth and call it what it is. And thanks Father, for reminding us that a life in the sacraments will protect us, and we will always be able to discern that truth. How hopeful!

What I can’t understand is why people think that God needs prophets when He has thousands of Priests to speak His word to the faithful? I would prefer to listen to the voice of my pastor any day over the voice of such as the children of Medjugoria or that lady from Bayside. It drives me crazy when I see them plastering their so called revelations and messages all over the internet, or in books at christian bookstores. I’m sure that if God has a message to get across to the world He can do it quite easily through the best means of all —- HIS POPE!
For me, I’ll continue to listen to the voice of God’s real prophets, His priests in the pulpits! I’ve yet to have been led astray by listening to the voice of those priests whom Our Lord and Our Lady have placed within my path no matter how weak they may be in the human condition. God’s providence always takes care through such means.
For me, I will continue to trust in the teachings of the Church, the sacraments and the power of God’s priesthood.
Below are two different articles that relate to the prophetic and the times that we live in. One by a well noted priest, the other by a suspicious so called visionary.
The priests speaks of the times we live in while the later speaks of that which is to come. It’s clear by the different tones of both articles who the real prophet is and who the false prophet is.

I have been celebrating Mass at a local parish while the pastor is away the past few weeks. Many of the readings during that time concerned the prophets and their message and trials. I was moved to reflect once again on the prophetic dimension of our Baptism in Christ-Priest, Prophet and King. Several decades ago, the great Archbishop Fulton Sheen said, ?The prophetic voice of Christ has all but been stilled in the Church today.? To the degree we fail in this prophetic mission, the world will sink into oblivion under the increasing weight of its sins.In my lifetime, the United States has gone from quite a wholesome, rational, and moral country, to one that is largely decadent, irrational, and immoral. Most people seem to be hardened to it, unconcerned that we have a death wish in process.
First it was artificial contraception, then abortion, then partial-birth abortion, then infanticide (all of which have been supported by many liberal politicians at one time or another, even some running for president) not to mention euthanasia, and outright killing of the disabled and sick. Actually, it?s even worse. Terri Schiavo wasn?t sick. She didn?t die from an illness. They killed her by starvation, a very cruel way to die.
Now it?s same sex marriage (no transmission of life, no fruit of natural love) and we call it inclusive and just. It is yet another nail in the coffin of a society that is clearly dying. Every stage of life is under assault by the forces of death. From prevention of life through artificial contraception, to abortion-which is homicide by definition in each case (the taking of the life of an innocent human being), and genocide taken as a whole. Preventing life, ending life from the youngest to the oldest. We call it progress. It is a death wish, and we had better watch what we wish for.
?All that evil requires to prosper is that good men remain silent.? The hour is late. We have had years to change course. Instead, we have obstinately refused and gone from bad to worse. May God have mercy on us, and grant us the courage and strength to act in accordance with that truth.

Message From Religious Woman Stirs Up Controversy In Frederick Town

EMMITSBURG, MD – An article written by a member of Emmitsburg’s religious community is causing a lot of controversy.
Some are taking it as an “end of the world” prophecy and say it could have dangerous consequences. Gianna sullivan has made news before for claiming to have visions and hear messages from the Virgin Mary. But now, some are worried she is predicting the end of the world.
Michael Hillman runs this website. He’s troubled by Sullivan’s latest statement. “That to me is an end of the world prophecy, and I can’t find any other way to read it than that,” said Hillman.
Hillman points to a section that says “this is a time of change.” One part reads another body in orbit in the solar system will cause devastation, killing nearly the entire world’s population.
“You?ve crossed the line into predicting gloom and doom,” said Hillman.
