Ave Maria!
Fr. Angelo Geiger, FI gives a homily at the visitation of Our Lady of America at St. Veronica’s in Howell, NJ as she is escorted in grand style by the Jackson Fire Department with four fire engines, lights flashing, sirens wailing and horns blaring through the City of Howell and then carried into St. Veronica’s church. In the context of this manly devotion of the fire men (many of whom were at Ground Zero six years ago) and Our Lady’s call to purity and the upholding of family life, Fr. Angelo calls us to renew our commitment to the family and especially for men to embrace the much neglected vocation of fatherhood as key to promoting purity in society. Our Lady of America has promised to give us the strength to follow these difficult vocations if only we take up devotion to her Immaculate Heart. We hope to have the Visitation to St. Antoninus and other videos up soon.

Ave Maria!
Today’s Gospel?is an exhortation from Our Lord to us. An exhortation that we should be like his mother.
Our protestant brothers and sisters will tell us that this is one of those passages that sort of brushes Our Lady off to the side.
??Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and wish to come see you.?? Our Lord is told, and he says in reply “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and keep it.??

?”My hope for all of you is that the Immaculate take you by the hand and lead you, that She hold all of you and each of you individually close to her Immaculate Heart, in such a way that you may not be capable and could never again separate yourselves from Her. The spirit of the Cities of the Immaculate, in fact, consists in nothing else than that they belong to Her. Everything in them belongs to Her: those who live there, the equipment, the buildings, and even the debts. But, above all, every heart that beats in them.” (SK #463)

Homilies #171 – Saint Padre Pio?of Pietrelcina? (11min) >>> Play |

Ave Maria!
There is no other saint in the twentieth century like the saint we celebrate today, Saint Pio of Pietreclcina.
Saint Pio is like one of those saints plucked out of the medieval times. Often when we read the lives of the saints of the medieval times or even up to the sixteenth century, we think of Saint Anthony of Padua.
We can only imagine what it must have been like to live in the world with a Saint Anthony of Padua, with a Saint Francis of Assisi working miracles everywhere they went

The Cornerstone #26 – The Incarnation: the test of the angelic spirits (7min) >>> Play |
|
|
|
Ave Maria!
According to the Franciscan thesis, Saints and Angels alike were predestined to grace and glory in Christ. “For it has pleased God the Father that in Him all His fullness should dwell, and that He should lead all things to unity [apokatallaxai] in Christ, whether on the earth or in the heavens…” (Col 1:19-20). The Angels are under the headship of Christ and receive grace and glory through His mediation as the “firstborn of every creature” (Col. 1:15). Interestingly, the Franciscan position on the test of the angelic spirits is this: they were shown the mystery of Christ, namely, that God in the Person of the Word would assume a created nature lower than theirs and that they would have to serve the Human Nature of Christ their King and God. The bad angels, the demons, said with Satan: non serviam (I will not serve). Whereas St. Michael and the good Angels declared, “Who is like unto God?”. Watch and learn more about the test of the Angels.

Padre Pio’s Prayer After Holy Communion
Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You; You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often. (more…)

Ave Maria!
For the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation then are the children of light.
Isn’t this true? It seems as though, if we compromise with our faith, with moral virtue, we get ahead.
Crooked politicians and dishonest business men always seem to be getting what they want.

“I want to hope that, with the help of the Immaculate, you will succeed in bringing to completion that which you have begun and to persevere in religion all the way to a glorious death. The truth is that it wouldn’t be at all worthy of a knight to desert for any reason. Life is so short, these few years that we live on this earth pass so quickly: how could one deprive these years of the offering which we made of them to the Immaculate?” (SK #813)

“We are instruments, but not physically constrained as the brush in the hand of the painter, but guided by means of the intellect and the will. If we let ourselves be led in a perfect way by the Immaculate, then even if there be need of miracles, not even these will be difficult for us.” (SK #373)

“A soul consecrated to the Immaculate must follow the inspirations of the heart with complete liberty and approach the tabernacle, the cross, the Holy Trinity with much more courage, because that soul does not approach alone, but together with the Heavenly Mother, the Immaculate. Therefore, the soul consecrated to the Immaculate needs to pray the ejaculatory prayers and other prayers with great liberty, as the wings of the love of God guide it, where the Holy Spirit inspires it, shattering all barriers.” (SK #1301)

?In??today’s Gospel?Father Angelo quotes “who ever has ears let them hear?? because you need ears to hear and that is part of the whole problem in regard to accepting the faith and putting it into practice.
Our Lord isn’t going to spoon feed it to us or turn it into a multi media animation that we can click on and have it all bulleted out for us so we know exactly what we are suppose to do each and every second.

Our 500th Post!! Deo Gratias!
Peter Wolfgang, Executive Director of the Family Institute of Connecticut gives us an interview at the pro-family rally they sponsored at the CT State Capitol to send a message to the Ct Supreme Court to not suppress existing legislation in the court case Kerrigan et al v. the state Department of Public Health. If the supreme court decides in favor of the plaintiffs then all the recent legislative victories won in recent years to keep marriage defined as a union between a man and a woman will be negated. Listen to this interview from the front lines of the state level national battle to protect marriage and religious freedom.
