Ave Maria! ?In today’s Gospel Our Lord is calling attention to a simple fact, fasting and penance is a means to an end. What is the end? Having Jesus present with us, enjoying his company for all eternity. In a senses it is true that He is with us now, He is really and truly present, but sacramentally. Ave Maria!
